EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
This committee consists of the five elected officers and a designated trustee (the immediate past president of the Fellowship). The officers are elected at the Annual Meeting of the Congregation for a one-year term. They have control of the property, business and activities of the Fellowship subject only to the action of the members in meeting assembled.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The three members of this committee are elected during each Annual Meeting. Their function is to compose a suitable slate of officers for the following year, and recruit members for the following standing committees.
PROGRAMS & SERVICES COMMITTEE
The Fellowship Vice President (or Co-Vice Presidents) chair this committee. This committee plans, schedules and provides the speakers and service leaders for Sunday worship services.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The committee appoints teachers and prepares curriculum and schedules for weekly youth classes, long-range goals, and coordination with the adult programs.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
This committee keeps an up-to-date roster of the membership and the signed membership cards, ensures that visitors are greeted and sign the register, and follows-up with a brief note inviting visitors back. When appropriate, members offer UU information or a membership packet.
PUBLICITY COMMITTEE (aka Public Relations Committee)
These members prepare the Sunday Bulletin each week, assist in promotions to attract visitors to Sunday services, provide news releases to the media, and work with the web site.
SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Our liaison with the UUA and the Heartland District in such matters as United Nations Service Committee, UNICEF, Aging, and all District social action projects will be maintained by this committee. It will alert the Fellowship members to local area social action matters and will seek out, devise, or initiate local actions for our Fellowship to participate in.
HOUSE & GROUNDS COMMITTEE
The responsibilities of this committee include
1. Maintenance, repair, and improvement to the building and grounds.
2. Regular cleaning, dusting, vacuuming each week and special cleaning after lunches and other special events.
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
The responsibilities of this group include organizing the coffee and any refreshments for Coffee Fellowship after each Sunday service, the once-a-month. "Soup & Salad" lunches. and the once-a-month "Saturday Night Live" events.
LIBRARIAN
The Librarian keeps tab on Fellowship records and property, maintains a file of Service Bulletins and Newsletters, keeps the UU Lima library, maintains the foyer information area of UU brochures and pamphelets, and orders pamphlets, literature and books as needed and/or requested.
